Most people come in with one of these. What people come to counseling for: anxiety, trauma, grief, relationships, ADHD and life transitions.
- Anxiety
- A mind that runs the worst version of tomorrow all night, and a body that will not get the message that the day is over.
- Relationship issues
- The same argument in different clothes. Distance that arrived so gradually nobody can name the week it started.
- Neurodivergence and ADHD
- Often named late, or never. Years of assuming you were careless when you were unsupported.
- Trauma and PTSD
- Something that happened once and did not stay in the past, or something that happened so often it stopped feeling like an event.
- Grief and loss
- Including the losses nobody sent a card for. A marriage, a career, a version of your health, a person who is still alive.
- Life transitions
- A move, a divorce, a diagnosis, a retirement, an empty house. The change is not the hard part. The rebuild is.
- Narcissistic abuse
- Recovering the ability to trust your own read on a situation after a long time being told it was wrong.
- Emotional regulation
- For adults and for kids. Practical work on what happens in the ninety seconds before you say the thing you regret.
If what brought you here is not on this list, it is still worth a call. Fifteen minutes is usually enough to tell whether this is a good fit.
“I understand counseling from both sides of the room. I’ve been a client too.”
Before this I spent years in the corporate side of the oil and gas industry. My own experience in therapy is what redirected me, and it is the reason I went back for a Master’s in counseling rather than staying where I was comfortable.
So I know what it costs to sit down and start talking to a stranger about the parts you have not said out loud. You do not need to have it organised before you get here. We start where you are, look at what shaped it, and work out what you want to carry forward and what you are ready to change.

Supervised by April West, LPC-S.
The first call is free and it takes fifteen minutes.
No intake forms, no commitment, and no clinical questions. You tell me roughly what has been going on, I tell you honestly whether I am the right person for it, and if I am not, I will say so and try to point you somewhere better.
A first full session runs an hour. We get to know each other, talk about what brought you in and what you are hoping for, and start setting goals together. There is no pressure to say everything at once.
